This lesson focuses on the students’ ability to analyze, interpret, and synthesize social studies resources to make inferences and draw conclusions. The purpose of this unit is to examine the expansion and contraction of democracy throughout the history of the United States. These tasks will require critical thinking skills and develop a global perspective as defined by the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate.
